הסכום - Summary

  • In this Torah portion there is the continuation of the discussion of laws of religious purity.
  • The Kohanim were given the responsibility for healing the sick.
  • When the priest shall determine that a person is healed, then let him wash his clothes, shave off his hair and bathe himself in water.
  • After the eighth day he was to bring a special offering as a symbolic act of purification, and then he would be welcomed back into the community.

Kindergarten Judaics with Morah Sarah

Kindergarten has been learning about and preparing for Passover (Pesach). They are almost finished making their very own interactive Haggadot, which they are excited to use at the Seders.  They have also made a beautiful wooden matzoh holder to decorate the tables. The students have learned to sing the Four Questions, and many other songs. Their favorite Pesach activity is watching amusing YouTube videos of Pesach parodies.
1st Grade's Computer Writing Project
 with Mrs. Hurley

First Grade has been working on a writing project about themselves. Students first spent time in the computer lab using the program Kidspiration to create a graphic organizer. This is where they thought and organized ideas about their favorite activities, places to visit, and other favorites. Students then used the graphic organizers in class to write stories about themselves.
