Ganienu with Morah Tamara
Ganeinu is hard at work learning about Passover. Unlike most holidays where big people do all the work, Passover has a special job for the youngest in the family. It is traditional for the youngest child (who is capable) to ask the Four Questions, the "Mah Nishtanah", at the Passover Seder. We are working hard at memorizing the questions! This is a big undertaking for children who have not yet learned to read, but Ganeinu is doing a great job. You will be amazed at Seder time!

2nd Grade Chumash Celebration

Last week, students of Kitah Bet reached an important milestone at the Chumash Celebration. They joyously sang songs in Hebrew from our Tal Am curriculum and acted out a play in Hebrew, "Hatzaga Shelanu" (Our Play) to the enjoyment of their families. In one song, they set the tone for the evening by inviting their honored guests to celebrate at our chumash celebration and hear the story from the Midrash of Avram and his father's Terach's p-salim (idols).  Students played the roles of Avram, Sarai, Terach, narrator and the voice of HaShem was heard from behind a screen! After the students received their chumashim, the evening culminated as they opened up their new chumashim for the first time and learned Chumash with their parents.

Back in the classroom students have been enjoying using their new chumashim! They are learning the story of Pesach, and will be shortly receiving a beautiful Haggadah in preparation for Pesach. Kitah Bet and Morah Aviva wish everyone a Chag Pesach Kasher v Samayach!
