LILLIE KNOX INVESTING FOR GROWTH AWARD

Women business owners, could you use extra cash to grow your business?
By identifying a critical business need and completing the application you could potentially receive up to $5,000 cash!
Each year at the Harvesting Partnerships Lillie R. Knox Memorial Luncheon, an award of up to $5,000 is awarded in Lillie's memory. This year's luncheon will be held on September 5, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel.
A recipient of the Lillie Knox Investing for Growth Award, Royalyn Reid of CMI shared some insight on the award application. "Treat the application as you would a Proposal, the award is about GROWTH, determine what could make your company grow."
The recipient(s) needs to be a certified-WBE member(s) of WBCS who has identified a critical need in her business that, if met, will support the growth and development of her business.
The cash award may fully (or partially) fund this need and may include, but is not limited to, equipment purchase, technical development or upgrade, consulting services, strategic planning, Web site development, planning or education.
Applications are due by July 31, 2013. 2013 WBENC NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The 2013 WBENC National Conference and Business Fair will be held June 25-27, 2013, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
 Lidia Bastianich, chef, author, restaurateur and business owner will be the Luncheon Keynote Speaker on Thursday, June 27.
Lidia Bastianich is one of the best-loved chefs on television, a best-selling cookbook author, restaurateur, and owner of a flourishing food and entertainment business. Lidia has married her two passions in life - her family and food, to create multiple culinary endeavors alongside her two children, Joseph and Tanya.
Lidia's cookbooks include Lidia's Favorite Recipes, Lidia's Italy in America, Lidia Cooks from the Heart of Italy, and Lidia's Italy-all companion books to the three-time Emmy-nominated television series Lidia's Italy in America and Lidia's Italy.
