Keeli Jernigan is the wbcs "2013 Women's Business Enterprise Star"

To be honored before 1,000 at the WBENC "Salute to Women's Business Enterprises"

was selected by the Women's Business Council - Southwest for this national honor. She will receive the nation's premier award for excellence among women's business enterprises (WBEs) bestowed by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) at its Salute to Women's Business Enterprises.The annual event will take place March 14, 2012, before 1,000 corporate and government executives, WBEs and members of WBENC's Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs) at the Baltimore Hilton, Baltimore, MD.

WBENC's 15th Annual Salute follows the Summit and highlights the significant contributions of women's business enterprises (WBEs) to the United States economy and will pay tribute to the 14 Women's Business Enterprise Stars of 2013. In addition, select corporations that provide WBEs with growth opportunities in today's competitive marketplace will receive top honors at this gala recognition event.

All financial crises follow a pattern, and the current U.S. experience is no exception. As a Federal Reserve economist, Dr. Marci Rossell followed the Asia Crisis of '97. As chief economist for CNBC, she explained the financial market turmoil sparked by the September 11 terrorism. And now she continues with her groundbreaking explanation of just how we got into this mess and how we'll get out of it.

The American Express OPEN has launched the 2013 search for the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies in North America.


To be eligible, companies must be: 
 

  • privately-owned
  • women-owned/led
  • must have generated $500,000 in annual revenue by year end 2007
  • must have reached revenues of $2 million by year-end 2012

 

Companies will be ranked according to revenue growth from 2008 through 2012. The top 50 fastest growing companies have the opportunity to be published online and in print.

 

Applications must be submitted by February 25, 2013.
