Kermit Graham, Global Supply Chain & Supplier Diversity Manager for Sanmina- SCI, has been involved in the Council since 2005 when Sanmina-SCI first became a Corporate (Sustaining) Member. He devoted his time to chairing major WBCS events, such as Power to Potential and participating on numerous committees. We appreciate his valuable contributions of talent and time to the Council.

TABLE TOPICS LUNCHEON | |
The WBCS held the final Table Topics Luncheon of the year on November 13, with over 50 guests present. Tom Pryor, Director of UTA's Small Business Development Center, spoke to the group about finding a niche for their business. Tom provided wonderful examples of successful companies that found their niche and provided all attendees with a Niche Mining Journal to get started.
The Education Committee, co-chaired by Marilyn Stewart (Alcatel-Lucent) and Lisa Martin (Xllerate Consulting, LLC.), is busy planning for 2013. Ten Table Topics Luncheons will be held next year covering a variety of topics. All events will be held at Brinker International. |

The WBCS participated in the the first annual Small Business Resource Expo in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on November 15.
The exhibiting organizations provided information about their services, and how they can assist business owners with business development, and procurement opportunities. There were seminars and educational presentations throughout the day with topics ranging from accessing finances and capital, to business safety and risk management, internet marketing and social media. |
