ALL ABOUT AUSTIN

November Austin Council Connection

Join us on Tuesday, November 27 for a lively, informative and entertaining session to begin the holiday season.

Holiday Business Etiquette. Sharon Schweitzer, founder of Protocol & Etiquette Worldwide will answer those business etiquette questions that you always wonder about, but never really find a definite answer to, such as "I wonder if I should break into that group", "Should I take my business cards to a home party", "How should I enter this room and what should I say when I get there".

If you have not heard Sharon's advice on business protocol and etiquette, this is your chance to hear her share her knowledge from experience as a Board Certified labor and employment lawyer, international protocol officer training and business consultant, and the fact that she's visited all seven continents.

If you have heard Sharon, you know that you'll want to come hear her again and find out her latest information on how we should all be conducting business in our changing world.

Please join us on Tuesday, November 27, at Chez Zee on Balcones Drive in Austin. Registration and networking starts at 11:15 a.m. with lunch beginning at noon and Sharon's program from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

TABLE TOPICS LUNCHEON

Riches in Niches

If you're not unique, you'd better be cheap.

A niche is a void in the marketplace. Niches are profitable with little or no competition. The marketplace no longer values a jack-of-all-trades. Customers want unique products that meet their specific needs.

Tom Pryor, Director of UTA's Small Business Development Center will:

  • Explain three methods to identify a profitable niche for your business
  • Provide lots of niche examples, pictures and stories
  • Give everyone a Niche Mining Guide
