AND,
IT'S
TIME TO START
THINKING ABOUT
SPRING!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHH......SPRING!!!!
As you all probably know by now it's "my" favorite time of the year. Temps are warming up and everything is coming Alive!!
Buds on trees and shrubs all start swellin', birds start their constant chirppin, the air gets that "it's coming" smell to it and you just know it won't be long until your out of the house and into your gardens. Nothing else like it!
Personally, I started to get all "school girl giggly" back on February 5th when I saw our first robin in the dogwood tree behind the back porch. And then when the groundhog didn't see his shadow...well....I gotta tell ya...my ears really started to perk up and my tail started wigglin. And NOW.... it's really close.
The official first day of spring or the "Vernal Equinox" is March 20th. As you probably know, that is the day when we have approximately 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness and the sun rises directly from the east and sets directly in the west. So bring it on Ma Nature...Bring it On!!!
And now that you know it is "almost" official, and as the days warm up, it's time to get to thinking and planning about what needs to be done with your lawn and landscaping. In trying not to be annually redundant, you can click on the link Click Here and read one of our articles from the past ( 6 Spring "Must Do's ) to assist you. As for now, I for one am going to wait out the upcoming snowfall tonight and be ready to go prune some trees come this Friday when the sun is suppose to be shining bright with the temperature in the 50's. And if by some strange quirk you do not have any trees to prune at your home, feel free to come join us. With some 400 plus trees to prune there are always plenty of extra shears to pass around. See you all soon!!! Ken P.S. Don't forget! We have all your needed lawn and landscape seed, fertilizers, pre-emergent weed inhibitor, fungicides, insecticides and a bunch of other stuff here to help you along in your tasks.

REMEMBERING!
As I said earlier, Spring is my favorite time of the year. However, as we all know, the spring of 2012 brought with it not only a day of incredible destruction but also a day that some of us lost friends, family and loved ones. In just 38 seconds we at Beaver Creek lost someone who was all three; Someone who touched us deeply and who's passing has Changed us FOREVER!
Let us NEVER forget....
Let us ALWAYS remember....
