Touch Drawing-
Introductory Workshop
With Lori Reinerth
Saturdays, April 25 and May 2 (2 classes) 9:00 - 11:00 AM
$100 Member / $135 Non - Member
$20 material fee paid to the Instructor
Touch Drawing is the sacred process of creating images from your heart. It is a simple process of drawing with your fingers on a painted surface. The pressure of your fingertips on the page forms images on the underside of the tissue paper. Your hands are extensions of the soul, moving in response to the sensations of the movement. It opens a channel for creative expression and self-reflection. Touch Drawing has endless possibilities as a tool for therapy, creativity and spiritual awareness. Each workshop is guided by music and chant, creating a relaxing and meditative atmosphere in which to create. The images created are a visual record of your inner process. This technique does not require any prior artistic experience. Touch Drawing is a beneficial process for anyone who wants to increase their creativity including artists, social workers, health care practitioners, educators and intuitive people.
Drawing Meditation
With Lori Reinerth
Mondays, April 6, 20 & 27 (3 classes)
(No class April 13)
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
$100 Member / $135 Non - Member
$5.00 material fee for each class
Awaken your inner artist through the process of drawing imagery experienced during meditation. I will lead you through various meditation techniques to discover rich symbolic imagery from your subconscious. During this process, you can set an intention that may spontaneously heal an emotional or physical issue through the colors you use and the process of putting images on paper. We will begin each class with breath work, chanting, and toning to open the energy centers of our body called chakras. Then we will begin drawing using a variety of art media while listening to crystal bowls. The crystal bowls activate each energy center with information we can channel into colors, shapes and imagery onto our papers. Drawing Meditation is an expressive art form that is beneficial for stimulating creativity, spiritual awareness, and self-reflection. No artistic experience is required.
