Building Expansion updates:

Recently we went to the NK Town Council after many months of working out a change to our existing lease.  In order for us to qualify for investors we needed to revise our lease.  This has been done now and we sent this letter to the Council:

Also we consulted an economic professional who has done work in NK to do an analysis of what the effects of us building an Arts and Cultural Center here in NK would be, and these are the results:

We completed a feasibility study and have been analyzing the results.  We want our membership and the public to know that we are listening and that we are taking all the concerns into consideration, consulting professional critique and we plan to be prepared to present the results in January.

In the meantime, please know that on behalf of the WAA we have been pouring out our energy and investing our time because we believe we have something very special here and unique to the Town we reside in.  We are sensitive to the charming presence in this community and only want to enhance it for the greater good.

It is true- we are passionate about the arts and what they mean to a community.  It is also true that as the world gets crazier and the unpredictability of our times escalates with wars and disease and uncertainly, we need a constant source of encouragement. We simply want to do our part in our little part if the world to enable positive influence, change and healing...Folks,  that is the POWER of a ART..

And you are needed- your voice, your art, your passion and sacrifice (time and or money) for the greater good- what part will you play?
Maybe we need You- maybe you have been waiting to step into something that will leave a lasting legacy. Could it be with us?

"I will not live an unlived life.
I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
  to make me less afraid,
more accessible,
 to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
 a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
to live that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit."
-Dawna Markova

This, my heart breaths- forgive me my passion,
 it won't leave me alone-
It is what it is!  Are you with me??
