This is a time sensitive request. The Board of WAA is seeking a new Director for our upcoming festival to take place in early July. Applications are being excepted until next Friday, January 20th. Interviews will take place asap as we are in hopes of filling the position quickly but also with the right candidate.
Applicants should have strong skills in these area's:
-Team player/ Building skills
-Computer knowledge & ability to use social media
-Reflecting the intent & purpose of WAA's mission statement
-Good under pressure
-Ability to work within the time-constraints given and with excellence
-Is personable, friendly, cooperative
-Displays emotional maturity
-Responsive in a timely manner
-Respectful to the Community
-Recruiting Volunteers to work specific areas of the festival needs
-Scheduling planning meetings; overseeing all aspects of the production of the festival
- Following legal procedures; work well with NK Town officials
-Keep within the festival budget
-Overseeing set up of the Jurying committee
-Documenting progress and reporting to the board
The right candidate will have at least 5 years experience in Event planning in a leadership role.
