June 1, 2016, students need to bring a lunch and drink. No lunches, snacks or beverages will be sold in the cafeteria!

Summer Reading
Once again we are happy to have a summer reading contest here at OLP.

The goal is to read as much as you can during your summer break. We want you to ENJOY the reading - but yet reward you for doing such a great job.

*If you read 15 books you will receive a dress down day 
 (chosen by Ms. Ek).
*If the school collectively reads 1500 books everyone will receive an ice cream treat.
*The top reader in each class will receive a free book from our book fair in November.

So get to reading and ENJOY your summer.

OLP Summer Program
     The Place to BEE this Summer!
       June 6, 2016 - August 12, 2016
 
Our theme this year is "The Place to BEE This Summer!"  The program is open to students entering Kindergarten through Eighth grade. We encourage enrollment at the start of the summer. Applications received after the program begins will be accepted on a space available basis.

NEW THIS YEAR!  Bricks for Kids will be onsite one day a week to conduct a one-hour mini camp throughout the summer.



Registration forms below may be downloaded and printed or are available in the main office of the school. All three forms must be completed to register for the summer program.

Athletics
The next and final Athletic Board meeting for the year is Tuesday, June 7th at 7pm in the school cafeteria.  This meeting is an OPEN meeting.

Cross Country Summer Conditioning

We will begin summer conditioning for children in Grades 5-8 only starting Tuesday July 5th at Brown's Farm from 5:00-6:15 pm and Thursday July 7th at Frontier Park from 8:30-9:30am. Throughout the month of July we will continue with these days and times. 

These sessions are intended to start the process of developing a strong foundation for the cross country season. We highly encourage you to try and attend these sessions as much as possible. We will be providing a week to week training program as well so that way if you are unable to attend practices you can simply run on your own those days. 

Looking ahead, our practices during the school year will be after school which will allow for all athletes to participate in other sports that might otherwise take place in the evening. Cross country is a great sport that helps to compliment many other activities so if you aren't sure if you can fit it in I bet you can. 

Therefore, if your child would like to participate in cross country please send an email to Stacey Constable. My email address is smconstable2@gmail.com Please provide your child's name and grade along with your cell phone number. If practices are cancelled due to bad weather a text message will be sent to everyone. 


Father / Daughter Night at OLP
OLP Junior Girl Scouts would like to invite ALL OLP Girls and Their Favorite Guy (dads, grandfathers, uncles, etc.) to:

($5.00 per additional girl) 

Enjoy the sweet sounds of DJ Alex Blatt.
We ask everyone to bring a toiletry item/underwear/socks the night of the party, and proceeds will be donated to the Maria House Project, a safe home for men struggling with addiction, homelessness, or effects of prison.

THE 10th ANNUAL CATHEDRAL PREP BASKETBALL CAMP WILL TAKE PLACE JULY 18 TO JULY 22, 2016, FROM 9-4 PM DAILY.  THE COST OF THE CAMP IS $150($130 IF REGISTERED PRIOR TO MAY 1st. ) WHICH INCLUDES CAMP INSTRUCTION, CAMP SHIRT, CAMP BAG, WATER BOTTLE, CAMP BASKETBALL AND LUNCH DAILY.  CAMP FLYERS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CATHDRAL PREP ATHLETIC OFFICE, ONLINE AT WWW.PREP-VILLA.COM, OR YOU CAN REQUEST A FLYER BY SENDING AN EMAIL TO MAJIC.RAMBLER@GMAIL.COM.  QUESTIONS CAN BE DIRECTED TO COACH MARK MAJEWSKI AT 814-490-1156.
