Dress Down & Early Dismissal

Just a reminder, tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9, 2016, is a dress down day and early dismissal at 1:30p.m.

Please make sure you have made arrangements for your child/ren to be picked up at 1:30p.m.

Girls' Varsity Basketball Team Headed to States!

Show your OLP school Spirit and support the OLP Girls' Varsity Basketball team with a OLP Spirit Dress Down on Thursday, March 10, 2016. All Students and staff are permitted to dress in OLP colors (blue and white) and/ or Spirit wear on Thursday. (No pajama pants.)

The OLP School commuity will be sending our Lady Crusaders off to States with a Send Off Rally on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 2:30p.m. in the OLP gym.

All are welcome to cheer them on as they head to the State Championship Tournament in Pittsburgh

This year's tournament is hosted by the Diocese of Pittsburgh and will be played at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School, 1617 Route 228, Cranberry Township, PA 16066 on March 11, 12, and 13, 2016. Our OLP Lady Crusaders play at 6:30p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016. You can check the OLP Facebook page for updates and game times for Saturday and Sunday.

All Swim team members in grades 5-8 are permitted to dress down on Friday, March 11, 2016.

A pizza party will be given in their honor at 1:30p.m. and swimmers will be dismissed at 2:30p.m.

All swimmers must have a signed permission slip to attend.

OLP Summer Program
The Place to BEE this Summer!

Our theme this year is "The Place to BEE This Summer!" The program is open to students entering Kindergarten through Eighth grade. We encourage enrollment at the start of the summer. Applications received after the program begins will be accepted on a space available basis.

Registration forms below may be downloaded and printed or are available in the main office of the school. All three forms must be completed to register for the summer program.

Practice for First Communion has been changed to 9:00 AM for both April 23, 2016, and April 30, 2016, practices. Please meet in the church by 9:00 AM the day before your scheduled First Communion day.

Please join us on Thursday, March 10, 2016, beginning at 11:00a.m. at TGI Friday's located at 6755 Peach St. Bring the flyer that comes with your student in their Tuesday folder (or click here) to the restaurant anytime that day, and 15% of your bill will get donated back to Our Lady of Peace! What a wonderful reason not to cook dinner!

Library Visitor

Let's get Jan Brett to come to the OLP Library!

The school or library that has the most parents, teachers, friends, or supporters who enter the contest will win a free school or library visit from Jan Brett in the 2016-2017 school year. Contest ends April 4, 2016. Second to tenth place prizes ae ten Jan Brett books. Eleventh to 100th place prizes will be a signed Jan Brett poster. One entry per person, so spread the word! OLP Ski Club
"Let it Snow"

OLP Ski club just finished up an awesome season at Peek n Peak resort. Snow was plentiful all eight weeks and the temps were mild compared to last year.

Ski Club is open to all students and parishioners as well as their families with busing provided each week for grades 5th thru 8th.
Look for sign ups for next year's season in October 2016. If you have any questions regarding ski club, please call Chris Kurpiewski at 602-3772

Boys' JV Basketball Champs

JV Boys Basketball - St. James Tournament Champs!

The OLP JV Boys Basketball team concluded their season with the St. James Monsignor Cohan Tournament on Feb 26^th-27^th. This was a 5^th grade only team tourney, however, that did not stop our 6^th grade JV players from coming out and supporting their teammates. The boys went 3-0 and finished in 1^st place. Congratulations on a great end to the season!

Special thanks also goes to Coach Hilditch, Coach Erhartic and Coach Samueloff for their time, training & support this season.
