OLP Church Doors and Safety

As we are always looking out for the safety and well-being of our children, the parish team has made the decision to lock the church doors during school masses. This is just and extra precaution towards our goal of safety.  If you or your child should arrive late, you can be buzzed in through the church office ONLY.  No one will be admitted to church through any other door once the children have gathered in church.

Your help and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thank You OLP

We would like to thank the boys and girls varsity basketball teams and their families for their generosity, support, and prayers over the last few months.  Your warm thoughts and friendship have meant so much to us during Nick's illness.  The Hedderick Family

Thank you,
Charlene Hedderick

Sports Day 2013
OLP SPORTS DAY is Friday May 10th.
This all school, all day event needs parent volunteers.
SPORTS DAY allows the students to enjoy the fun of physical activity with parents and teachers.  Parent volunteers make this day successful by helping to organize and run the various activity stations.
If you are able to offer your time and efforts to help with SPORTS DAY, please fill out the bottom of the Parent Volunteer Form and return to school by Wednesday, May 8, 2013. In addition we are looking for sidewalk chalk donations and corn-hole games we can borrow (for the day only).

Thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide.

Ms. Turley, Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Alexander    (Sports Day Committee)

OLP After-School Lund Martial Arts Program

Due to past positive feedback, we are once again offering the Lund Martial Arts After School Program. Students interested in exploring martial arts are encouraged to attend this 3 week/6 class after-school program.

Skills that are emphasized include respect, focus, concentration and he power of a positive mental attitude. Students are given strategies for dealing with bullies (non-violent conflict resolution skills), abduction awareness, self confidence and self discipline.

Dates of class are April 30th, May 2nd, 7th, 9th, 14th and 16th.

Classes are from 3:30 - 4:30, and students are dismissed from classrooms to the class. After class students are either walked to extended care or picked up at the center doors of the school.  Parents are asked to attend an orientation during the first class and the last class will be a graduation at the Lund Martial Arts Academy at 7PM. There is a $20 fee for the program, made out to OLP school. A separate registration must be filled out for each student.

Please direct any questions to Ms. Turley
