Book Fair 2012
Book Fair 2012The Book Fair is coming!!! The Our Lady of Peace Book Fair will begin on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, and will end on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.  Each classroom will have the opportunity to visit the fair on either Wednesday, 11/14/, Thursday 11/15, or Friday 11/16. Students will know what day they will attend the Book Fair in advance. You may also check on our website the times have been posted. Parents may stop by during parent/teacher conferences on Monday, November 19th from 9am-11am and 1pm -8pm; or Tuesday, November 20th from 9am-4pm. Please note this acts as the only fundraiser for the library. Funds raised go towards the purchase of new books and repair materials. Another way to purchase books and give OLP credit is to buy online at scholastic.com/fair, books will be delivered to OLP and then distributed to the purchasers. The online Fair will run from November 9th - November 27th.  Click here for the Online Fair.

Flyers will be coming home with just a few of the hundreds of books available to purchase. You may send cash in an envelope marked with your child's name and the total or a check made out to Our Lady of Peace. Please remember to add 6% sales tax to the amount.

Don't forget that we will have a wish list of books that each teacher would love to have in their classrooms, these make excellent Christmas presents.

There is still an opportunity to volunteer to help out at the Fair.  Set-up will begin Tuesday, November 13th at 9 am. Book Fair hours will be 9am-1pm on Wednesday, 9am-2pm on Thursday, 10:30am-1:30pm Friday, and during parent/teacher conferences. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions regarding the Book Fair please contact Beth Hill at
bhill@olpcrusaders.org  or 835-5075.

We have heard that some families did not get their
name in the directory.  If you submitted your family name and
children's name, but it was not published, please notify Tina Vergotz at 835-5046.  I will compile the information.  Type it up on a separate piece of paper, and we will send them out for every family to attach to their directory.  We are sorry for any oversights that have occured, and as always, we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kindergarten Girls
DGSWe're still looking for a co-leader with Jenny Poff to have Daisies for the girls in Kindergarten this school year. If you are interested in co-leading, please e-mail Jenny Poff at jenny@presqueisledesigns.com, and hopefully we can get the girls started by the new year. 8th Grade Parents!!

Yes, I know there has been much anticipation regarding our first meeting ... so ... without further ado, we will have our first 8th Grade Parent meeting as follows:

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2012

7:00PM

SOCIAL ROOM IN THE RECTORY BASEMENT

I think that we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the planning will shortly begin and that we are right on target (timing wise) from years past - YEAH! Although, are our children old enough to graduate and head off to high school in a few short months? Everything we need to know will be discussed, as well as signing up for the different committees. If you cannot make this informational meeting, please let me know so I can brief you.

In keeping with Going Green, all of our correspondence, meeting agenda/minutes, memos, etc. will be found in the weekly I.N.F.O. If you don't have access to a computer or your printer is on the fritz, please let me know and I will send a hard copy home with your childJ

Thank you, and see you on Thursday evening!

Sincerely,

Kathy Roach, Co-Chair

Andy Chaney, Co-Chair
