School Closing or Delay
As we approach another winter, it is time to remind ourselves of the procedures for unanticipated school closings and delays. School closings or delays will be determined according to the following procedure:
Schools will be closed only in the event of a declared city-wide emergency or if prevailing weather conditions are considered so severe as to place children en route to schools in a clearly dangerous or unhealthy situation. These conditions include: - impassable streets and/or sidewalks - Extreme cold temperatures and/or gale-like winds
The three TV channels will announce the closing or delay of schools during the 6:00a.m. news. Radio stations will also announce the delays and closings.
Millcreek Catholic Elementary Schools will follow the decision of the Millcreek Public School District.
There will NOT be an additional announcement for the Parochial/Catholic Elementary Schools. If the Millcreeck Public Elementary Schools are closed, then the Millcreek Catholic Elementary Schools are closed. The same procedure will be followed for school delays.
If there is a school delay, then the OLP extended Care Program will operate on its normal schedule for students already signed up for this program. |

Coupon Book Sale
Hello to the families of OLP. I would first like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication in the Save Around Coupon Book fundraiser. Your continued support and effort has brought a profit of $7,670.00 to be deposited in the FSA account. This is approximately $1,350.00 more than last year. YEAH These monies are utilized for various purposes, such as, Technology Fund, Playground Fund, classroom parties, The Parent Broadcast System and much more. We could not have done so well without the help of everyone, so again Thank you.
In addition, we will start this sale again next year at the beginning of the school year. So refrain from buying them over the summer months.
Enjoy your savings. Peacefully, Mrs. Vergotz
