JW House Welcomes
New Executive Director,
 Tracy Byars

Dear JW House Family,

I am thrilled to introduce myself to you as the new Executive Director of JW House. For the past 13 years, I have intentionally worked only for nonprofit organizations I truly care about. Now, I feel blessed to be joining you and this lovely community united by a young boy's vision to bring hope, hospitality and healing to families during medical crises.

I personally connect with the mission of JW House, having spent many hours on hard hospital chairs or benches while family or friends endured treatment, and I look forward to applying my leadership, fundraising, operations and communications experience in service of this mission.

As you probably know, the need for JW House services is great. As Executive Director, my most important job will be to lead fundraising efforts to expand our capacity and enable us to help even more families. However, I can't do it alone.

Your support, goodwill and involvement is what has made JW House what it is today and what will continue to make the difference in the lives of families when they are at their most vulnerable. I hope you are as excited as I am to see what we can do together.

I am here to serve, so feel free to contact me anytime at tracy@jwhouse.org or at our administrative office at (408)606-8545.

Sincerely,

Tracy Byars

Executive Director

NEW! "FANS" Program

Thanks to generous sponsorship by Kaiser Permanente and additional donors, JW House recently launched a new program we call FANS (Family Activities that Nurture and Support).

FANS is a monthly activity group for medically fragile children and their families. The FANS Committee, chaired by the mom of a medically fragile child, has been working hard to put on great programming for our families. If you would like to volunteer to host a craft, activity, meal, or presentation for our FANS families, please contact us at FANS@jwhouse.org.

Families with medically fragile children are invited to join us at no cost at our monthly activities. Check our full schedule here and RSVP for times!

January FANS

Families made art centered around the theme: "what does family mean to you" -- including
great monoprints!

February FANS

Social work interns from the hospital came to JW House and taught our families about heart health. We then made maps of our hearts!

JW House keeps families together during medical crisis by offering a welcoming home

just steps away from the hospital, and by providing a caring and compassionate environment that inspires hope.
