Are you a history buff? Then we've got the opportunity for you! Frau Jacobs is looking for eight history day judges to help judge in this year's history day competition. The competition will take place on Thursday, February 18 from 9-3. It would be ideal if judges can judge the whole day, but volunteering in shifts is okay too. GAI Announcement
GAI & TCGIS Joint Announcement

The Germanic-American Institute and TCGIS are excited to announce a new partnership for children's summer programming. As our community continues to outgrow the "one size fits all" method of summer camps, we will be tailoring the camps to different age groups in order to provide quality programming that is appropriate to the specific needs of each grade level.

The GAI will continue to offer German language camps throughout the summer for students entering 1st and 2nd grades, with special camps at the end of the summer for children who will be starting Kindergarten at TCGIS in the fall.

TCGIS will host camps in July for grades 3-5, as well as 6-8, as an opportunity for students to maintain their German fluency throughout the summer. The camps at TCGIS will be targeted toward children with significant exposure to German, though not limited to TCGIS students.

We're thrilled to be able to accommodate even more students through this partnership. Look for more information in the February 25 Elternbrief!
