Two Reminders for the New Year

What a wonderful start we have had to the 2015-2016 school year! We so appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we get settled into our new routines (and adjust to construction!). Please, however, be reminded of the following:
  • There is no parking on Van Slyke or W. Como Blvd. Please do not make U-turns in the street, or cross mid-street, etc. We know that drop-off and pick-up can be hectic, but please try to be mindful of these tips. Please also remember that this situation is temporary. If you need to park your car, please see this map to locate appropriate parking areas.
  • Kids benefit from having outdoor recess both socially and emotionally. We hope to send kids out for recess in all weather (including light rain and cold) because it is better they get the exercise, if at all possible. Please be sure that your student/s have rain boots, jackets, and hats and gloves when the cold comes. Layers are always best! As the saying in German goes, Es gibt kein falsches Wetter, nur falsche Kleidung! (There is no wrong weather, just wrong clothing!)

Again, thank you so much for your continued understanding and patience.

Supply Donation 2015-2016

Each year TCGIS asks for a supply donation from our families to help cover the extra costs of our German curriculum, including disposable Hefte, or workbooks, purchased each year. The suggested donation is $75 per child. For all families that have already made a donation, vielen Dank! This donation makes it possible for TCGIS to provide our students with the best German materials available. If you would like to make a donation, please do so in the front office. We appreciate your support!
