Fall Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an important part of a successful school year for our students, teachers, and staff. Volunteering is also a great way to engage with and get to know the TCGIS community. Whether you have a two hours a week or two hours a year, there is a meaningful way for you to contribute to TCGIS.

We are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:
For all positions except for EK, complete a volunteer application. If you completed an application last year, you do not need to complete another one, simply email volunteers@tcgis.org with the opportunity your are interested.

The teachers are excited about the extra help the EK provides to the teacher as well as the classroom community. The EK position is filled on a first come, first served basis.  Sign up here to volunteer. All Kindergarten spots are filled except for one in KC. Sign up here.

Know that you want to volunteer, but don't see something that you are interested in or just want volunteer occasionally? Complete the volunteer talent/interest inventory and you will be contacted if something in your interest area comes up.

We currently are not looking for volunteers in the classroom, though likely will later in the school year. If you are interested in classroom opportunities when they become available, just fill out the application and indicate that as your preference.

Volunteer Orientation
Whether you planning to volunteer, or just want to learn more, join us for volunteer orientation on Tuesday, September 15 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Coffee and bagels will be served!

Complete the RSVP form even if you are interested and can't make this date. We will schedule other times to meet including evening options. 

TCGIS Familien Mentors
New to TCGIS? This fall we are piloting a new program, the TCGIS Familien Mentors, to give new families a warm welcome to TCGIS! 

TCGIS Familien Mentors connects families who are new to the TCGIS community with families who are more 'seasoned'. The goal is to make the transition for newer families easier and to strengthen our school community.

You can sign up to participate either as a Familien Mentor or a New Familien Mentee by completing the short form below. Because this is a new program there are a limited number of Familien Mentor positions available. We are open to suggestions and look forward to growing a fun and welcoming program with the help of our amazing community. Please send suggestions to volunteers@tcgis.org.
