Administrative Information
Attention!: Como Avenue Street Construction

Due to a significant delay by the City of St. Paul, Como Avenue will be torn up and inaccessible to thru traffic for eight weeks starting immediately. This will significantly change the drop off/pick up traffic plan for the school this fall.

DROP OFF
  • ALL school traffic and students K-8 will enter via Horton Avenue to Van Slyke (normal K-1 drop off/pick up zone).
  • All surrounding side streets are also torn up. K-1 families planning to walk their children into the school building are requested to park at the McMurray Field and Como Park Pool areas and walk children four blocks school.
  • Due to the heavy traffic flow on Van Slyke, we request no parking on Van Slyke.

PICK UP

To avoid traffic back up, we will stagger pick up
  • K-1 families and carpools - pick up from 3:15-3:20pm on Van Slyke Avenue
  • 2-8 families - pick up from 3:20-3:30pm on Van Slyke Avenue

***TCGIS will continue to monitor the construction of streets, sewers and curbs and communicate to families. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding in this unforeseen construction delay by the City of St. Paul.

From August 25 until the start of school, the bus commitment data is with JME Transit company to firm up the routes and travel times. Families will be contacted with the EXACT pick up and drop off times for each location before the first day of school.

Many students signed up to be/have a "bus buddy". Those matches will also be communicated via email by Michelle Wallace prior to the first day of school.
