Administrative Information
Enrollment is Open for the 2015-2016 School Year!

Enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year is open. Please send us the application for your younger sibling preferably before the winter breakClick here for the application form.

All families with new students joining the 2015-2016 school year must have turned in their application the latest by Thursday, February 12 - the day before the lottery. Preference is given to siblings, but the applications must still be turned in. Thank you!
Calling for After School Activities Instructors!

Session two of after school activities will be starting soon! If you would like to offer a class please fill out the form here and hand it in to the office by Tuesday, December 16. Session two of After School Activities will be starting the week of January 12. If you have any questions about teaching a class, please email Molly at [email protected]. Thanks!
Please Check the Lost & Found for Your Lost Items

Please check Lost & Found by Wednesday noon, December 19 in the foyer behind the stairs. Items left will be given to a women shelter. To make the identification easier, please consider labeling your children's clothing. 
T-Shirts for Sale!

It's that time of the year -- TCGIS is having a Winter Spirit Wear sale! Check out what we have to offer in new styles and colors. Stop by the front office to view some samples and fill out an order form. If you've already made a decision, click here to access an electronic copy of the order form. All orders will be collected at the front office and will not be accepted without payment. The deadline for all orders is December 19th; no late orders will be accepted. 1st Grade Cookie Baking Fun


Last Friday, the first graders and their families turned the Cafeteria into a cookie bakery. A big thank you goes out to the 1st graders, their parents and teachers for bringing ingredients, kneading dough, and thinking of creative cookie decoration. 


4th Grade State Float Parade

Today the 4th graders were proudly presenting their impressive floating state projects. The parade was the finale of three weeks of preparation and studying American Geography and History in Frau Gabriel's Social Studies class. Great job 4th graders!

Join Us at the Minneapolis Holiday Market
Sunday, December 14, 12-2pm

Please join us for some holiday fun at the Minneapolis Holiday Market on Sunday,
 December 14. TCGIS students and the Blumenkranz Dance Troupe will be performing at the Peavey Plaza stage from 12pm to 2pm. Performing families, please arrive by 11:45am. 

Program: 
  • Blumenkranz dancers, 
  • TCGIS Band,
  • Singers from 2nd & 4th grades.

Logistics:  

  • The Minneapolis Holiday Market is located between 11th Street and 12th Street on Peavey Plaza. Directly in front of Orchestra Hall.
  • Entrance&Admission: Ticket gates located on the corner of 11th and Nicollet. At the gates, performing families can go to the VIP line and say they are here to perform on stage. You will be able to walk right in. Parents will be allowed in free with their performing child. Additional guests are $6 at the gate, $3 for children over age 6.
  • The stage is on the lowest level located in front of a huge white warming tent.
  • Parking is available in all surrounding ramps and parking meters.

Teal Sea Magazine Now Available!

The December 2014 issue of Teal Sea Magazine, the student literature magazine of TCGIS produced by the 7th grade boys, has come out. Individual magazines cost $1 and half-year subscriptions cost $5. If you want to read imaginative science fiction and fantasy written by students in the TCGIS middle school, this is the place!

Community Christmas Dinner & Program: Saturday, December 13, 5-9pmIt's Christmas Dinner at the GAI with traditional beef Rouladen, Haussuppe, red cabbage, Sp�tzle, and dessert. After dinner the Twin Cities M�nnerchor will lead a community sing-along.
