Dear TCGIS community-

Well, even though it does not feel like it, summer is here!

Thank you to a Great End-of-the-Year Picnic!

Thank you to so many who made the end of the school year field day and picnic such a huge success.  Topping the list is Stefanie Berres for coordinating the event-you are a super star!  A big thanks also goes out to Mandi Rostenthal for organizing all of the field day events in the morning, and thank you to the parents for their food contributions.  Molly Kalda and Blaine Strobe should be recognized for running a fantastic first aid station and doing lots of "behind the scenes" work, and of course, I have to thank my wonderful staff for pitching in at all levels, supervising students and keeping the show running!

New School, New Beginnings for Grade Level Classes

After long consideration and many conversations with teachers, we will be mixing students at all grade levels for next year.  Mixing enables us to create the greatest equity among classes (male/female, level of German spoken, etc.) and helps us create the best learning environment for all students with balanced classes.  For the future, we plan to keep classes together for grades 1-2, and for grades 3-4.  Class lists will be sent out at the beginning of August, thus enabling us to make any adjustments over the summer due to enrollment changes.

For next year's first grade parents (this year's kindergarten), if you would like to set up play dates for your child with a variety of other families, Beki Cook has set up a "Class of 2025" Facebook page.  Please contact Beki at bekicook@yahoo.com for more information.

Construction Update!

Our new school project is moving forward.  Beginning in July, we will have weekly updates on our website informing the community of the progress we are making as we plan for our new school year.  We encourage you to check out how the new facility is progressing over the summer as excitement builds toward moving into our new home.

I wish you all a very happy an safe summer whether traveling far or near.  I hope it is filled with wonderful laughter, family, friends and lovely memories for the future.

Vielen Dank!
