Financial Statements

Every month, financial statements are sent via email to keep you up to date on your account with Arizona Family Therapy. This is NOT necessarily a Bill. It lets you know what is still owed and what your insurance company (if applicable) has and has not paid.

If your insurance company paid $0.00 on your session, this is a hint that you need to contact them and find out why they did not pay.

As agreed in the first session, if the insurance company does not paid and 90 days pass, you will be charged for the balance.

Most of the time, the statement is simply to keep you up to date. If you owe a balance and you are sure you owe it, you can pay easily and simply and securely on our website.

Greetings!

Thank you for your trust once again and as we head into the Fall at Arizona Family Therapy and Wellness Center.

Thanksgiving is a special time of the year for family, friends and gratitude for the blessings received during the year. Thanksgiving is a great holiday. It reminds us of the importance of gratitude.

Gratitude should be a daily occurrence. A positive outlook on life and relationships is not always easy to attain. The bad things, problems, and hurt overshadow all the things we should be grateful for.

In this issue, we want to help remind you and give you things you can DO to increase a positive outlook and an "attitude of gratitude" in your life and family despite the difficulties that seem to be taking center stage so often.

Win a FREE T-shirt by simply sharing your gratitude with us!

Sincerely,

Gratitude - A Daily Task of Counting your Blessings

One of the best ways of changing the way you look at things in life is to keep a "Gratitude Journal". A Gratitude Journal is simply a record recounting the positive things you are thankful for. It forces you to think of the good things of that day despite the bad. Writing in it at night before you go to bed and then reading it when you get up in the morning has helped changed people's attitude and outlook on life helping them to be happier and healthier.

It does not matter how you do it and I have included some links below to help you get started. You might want to do it on the computer or your iPhone or you might like the old fashioned, tried and true way of simply getting a notebook or printing out pages for a notebook.

Below you will be able to take a look at the different ways to do it. Pick one and get started today on your journey to wellness and happiness.

Thanksgiving Family Idea
There is a family tradition at Thanksgiving that I think is really great. A gratitude jar is kept in the kitchen with post-it notes beside it. Each time something good happens, you wright down the blessing on a post-it and put it in the jar. You become more mindful as you encourage your children and family members to write down their gratitudes during the year. So many bad things happen, we often forget the good.

At the thanksgiving table, when your family is all together, you pass the jar around and each person takes one slip and reads it out loud giving thanks until every slip is gone. The jar is empty and you begin a new year of gratitude. You can then take the post-its and decorate the kitchen door or a wall through out the holiday season to remind you of the good things that has happened during the year.
