Tony Fadell, CEDIA 2013 keynote speaker

          

One of the great technology influences of our lifetime is Tony Fadell, the man who is credited with the iPod and iPhone.  He announced at the CEDIA keynote that he has now opened the API for Nest Lab products.

Thanks to Gordon Van Zuiden I was able to be in the front row at Mr. Fadell's keynote speech. Before the keynote I was sitting with Gordon, and we were talking about Tony Fadell and his ultimate impact on the world of technology.  At that moment Mr. Fadell walked by where we were sitting, and I looked up and said to him that we were just talking about him.  He was very gracious and chatted with us.  At the same time Robert Gilligan (Mr. Fadell's Via Group Technology Advisor) bumped into us, and we proceeded to talk about Mr. Fadell's new home in Truckee, which inspired Mr. Fadell to develop the Nest thermostat.  Talk about perfect timing on my part!
