Will you Still Love me When I'm 64?Soon to be 65...Thank goodness for those for those manufacturers who continue to find value in reps and for those integrators who ultimately provide the best experience for their customer. I strive to be a valuable resource. As I've said more than once, as long as we provide a superior experience to the end user, we thrive, have fun, and provide us good, fulfilling living. Please note that my line card continues to become more focused. I want to enjoy CEDIA and learn and pass that knowledge to those customers who consider me a resource. My next newsletter will be right before CEDIA in late September. Registration for CEDIA 2013 is now open. More than ever I believe that an enterprise grade network should be the starting point for any integrated system. A solid IT network should be part of your offerings. Just about everything in own my audio/video systems have RJ-45's, and my Nest thermostat , Netatmo weather station, and numerous MID's sit on a combination of meshed Air Port Express's (3) and newly installed Cisco 802.11n AP, and an older D-Link 802.11g AP. 802.11ac was ratified by the FCC recently so I will be starting to migrate when "ac" becomes a reality in our space. I have an IT person who takes of my business needs and he has been asking me to represent his services which I will do officially as of August 1. I really like the advantage of having a local company based in Fremont available to design, provide hardware (Cisco/Meraki), service and monitor your IT installations. I've known the principal for 10 plus years and trust and like him.
I have the top local ASID photographer provide me images for my website, and a local Apple software engineer implement my site (html5). Web presence becomes more critical, and first impressions are lasting impressions. This last Saturday night, June 22, I had the opportunity to visit with long time friends and ex co-workers from the Sounding Board in Berkeley. As I come up to my 43rd anniversary in this business I need to acknowledge the many bosses that have seen value in me: Douglas Kim, Hank Hong, Howard Harman, John Dobbs, Phil Sunseri, Jim Serena, Ed Regan and Paul Fitzpatrick. I closed my second quarter this morning and my business is up 30 plus percent half way through 2013. My sincere thanks for your continued support. Pacific Stereo Reunion June, 1 2013
