Tonight Governor Kasich signed the budget bill, including first-time dedicated state funding for Ohio's rape crisis centers in the 2014-2015 state budget.
On behalf of rape crisis centers across Ohio, the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence expresses our gratitude of this investment in survivors of sexual violence. Many people came to the Statehouse to testify in support of HB 108, including survivors, rape crisis center staff, volunteer advocates, law enforcement and prosecutors.
With this funding, more survivors will get the compassionate support they deserve. Thank you for your advocacy and support of survivors!
