Greetings!
Greetings!
We hope this newsletter finds our readers well. As we enter the last few months of 2013, MR has been fortunate enough to partake in a number of collaborations with individuals from Norway, Switzerland, and the United States in an effort to expand internationally.
Below, we've included a variety of information to catch our readers up on all of our recent activity.

An International Consulting Experience
In August, MR welcomed two students and one professor from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. This consulting team, joined by another student once back in the United States, came to MR through the Joint Management Consulting Field Experience (JMCFE).In December, they will present their final results and solutions to help MR expand on an international level.
Read more about their visit and the JMCFE project in this blog post.
MR Welcomes New Student Interns
We've welcomed two new interns, Kenneth and Marissa, students at Northeastern University (NEU) in Boston. NEU's renowned cooperative education program allows students to gain professional experience related to their major and career interests. We're happy to welcome them both to the MR team and you can read about their adventures in Sicily in the Bella Sicilia section of our blog.

A New Way of Doing Business
We believe that close collaborations with our international clients allow for the creation of a better final product. An employee from one of our clients, Techni, has been able to make a number of visits to our workshop to discuss project details with our engineer and machinist in person rather than simply over the phone or via email.
We believe this is the best manner of doing business and would love to partake in this collaborative process with all of our clients in the future, ensuring that each product that comes out of our workshop exceeds the expectations of our clients.

Read our blog post about Techni's project and their visit.

Oltre Meccanica Lights Up The Night
MR's non profit organization, Oltre Meccanica, hosted an event to raise money for UNICEF. The Magical Evening of the Flying Lanterns was a large success. The event not only drew in a large crowd but it also raised a total of €500 for a good cause. We want to thank both the Meccanotecnica employees for giving their time to volunteer and everyone in Riesi who came out to light up the night!
