A Letter from the Institute's Executive Director
|
|
Dear Friends,
Like squirrels collecting acorns, this is the time of year when we receive gifts and support that sustain the work of the Gandhi Institute all year. We mailed our annual appeal a few days ago. If you would like to receive it by mail, let me know or find the appeal here.
The importance of the work here is only underscored by the rhetoric, fear and painful divisions generated by the current elections. Please respond as swiftly and generously as you are able.
As you know, we advocate for the use of restorative practices in schools and elsewhere as a form of applied nonviolence. We celebrate a new video about this work as well as important research with students at James Monroe High. Let us know what you think.
Keep reading for good news and ways to get involved.
This comes with love from everyone here,
Kit Miller
for the Gandhi Institute

Snacks, music, and love are guaranteed to be provided! ALL are welcome!
If you are a local poet under 25 who is interested in reading, contact Christina at christina@gandhiinstitute.org.
