Letter from Staff
Dear friends,
Yesterday was the anniversary of Dr. King's assassination. He was in Memphis that day to support workers striking for better wages and conditions. Like Gandhi, he knew he would be killed if he continued his work and chose to do so. Please join me for a moment to breathe in gratitude for their tremendous love and example.
Next Monday we're hosting our first-ever youth webinar with students from Los Angeles, continuing our partnership with them that started last year. If you've ever been curious about the work we do with young people, here's a chance to observe!
Please, please help us to spread the word about a very special visitor to Rochester on May 4: Dr. Fania Davis. Fania is a personal hero, whose influence has shaped my commitment to understanding and dismantling structural racism. I am thrilled and hope that many of you will take this chance to hear her. Please mark your calendars and join us for the two free events we are holding in collaboration with the Rochester City School District, SUNY Brockport-REOC, and RIT.
This comes with love from everyone here,
Kit Miller

Celebrating Last Week's Spring Break Nonviolence Intensive
Last week, nearly forty participants spent three days learning and reflecting on various aspects of nonviolence during our annual Nonviolence Intensive in partnership with Rochester AmeriCorps. Through interactive games (shown above), we saw that all individuals play a vital role in strengthening the community around them. We thank the Rochester Friends Meeting for hosting!
