TWENTY YEARS LATER

2004

"When Frank and I decided to sponsor a girl, we didn't think that we would ever meet her. We began writing letters, those letters are still very special to me. On 1994 my husband signed me up in the group from the Diocese of Central Florida to visit OLRM where I was face to face with my child, Odilia, we both knew immediately that God had put us together even though I spoke no Spanish and she spoke no English.

1994

We loved each other from the beginning and I knew this was also the beginning of a long and wonderful relationship with Our Little Roses". Said Becky Gay when talking about Odilia. "Many years have passed and I have had the great privilege of seeing Odilia mature into a magnificent woman.  I have been in every important step in her life. I was her madrina in her wedding, I have loved knowing her children.  I was at her graduation from college.  What a joy it is to see her teaching at Holy Family Bilingual School!   She  is truly one of the greatest gifts that God has given me".

"I would like to encourage to all of you who read this testimony to sponsor a girl from Our Little Roses and experience the joy and blessings that I have received in this relationship".
SECOND PLACE!

Last September 27, CEPUDO/FOOD FOR THE POOR celebrated the gathering of all the Homes and Orphanages from San Pedro Sula where OLRM's girls participated in many contests. One of the most interesting contest was the election of the best recycled dress, where Ingrid won Second Place. "It was a team effort" said Belkis Merlo, a tia from OLRM since not only the staff participated in the elaboration of the dress, but also the little girls gave many ideas to make it look more attractive! Congratulation girls!

SENIOR GIRLS

Senior girls from Holy Family Bilingual School started their fund-raising activities to create money that will be used for their graduation trip and party. Two of the Roses were in charge of the Dunkin' Donuts sell. All donuts were sold and they are ready for the next activity. Well done girls!
EDUCATION AS A
KEY TO SUCCESS

Jessica arrived to OLRM through the Juvenile Court when she was 12 years old, now she is a 27 years old girl living in the Transition Program. Jessica is a hard-working and dedicated student and she was sworn in this past Monday , October 20 as she completed her Law courses. Jessica will start her 6 month internship defending low income people who can't afford a lawyer. Keep up the good job Jessica!
QUINCEANERA CELEBRATION

Ricci, Damaris and Cindy(Maria Jose) celebrated their Sweet Fifteen in a celebration full of love, happiness and hugs by all the girls and staff from OLRM. The girls were blessed with the presence of clergy and spouses of the Diocese of Southeast Florida where Father Ron, Fr. Paul, Deacon George and Madre Cynthia were part of the Celebration. Congratulations girls!
DECK AT THE
RETREAT CENTER

The group of Clergy and Spouses of the Diocese of Southeast Florida began a beautiful project of constructing a concrete deck at the Retreat Center , at the same time they also continued the vegetable garden project that included tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and other veggies used to elaborate delicious food for the girls of OLRM. Thank you Clergy and Spouses!!

EVERY GIRL
deserves a chance to live, to dream, and to be loved.

Honduras' high poverty rate puts children at extreme risk of neglect, abandonment and abuse. It also makes the country especially attractive ground for human traffickers, creating enormous opportunities to exploit people's desperate need for money. Children--especially girls--are a prime target.

For just $2 a day you can help save a girl's life--less than a cup of coffee a day.

Our Little Roses Ministries provides the opportunity for a childhood that all girls deserve -- protection from harm; a safe, healthy and loving home; a chance to learn; the dream of a future, and a foundation in faith. With your support, girls who once only knew fear and hunger are raised in a Christian environment of love, faith and respect to be engaged and productive members of their community, living their life to its fullest as God created them to be.
