NO WORDS!

Words are not needed when the heart talks. Susanita as everybody calls her is a 24 years old who suffers from Down Syndrome, she is Daysy's sister and lives in a home for kids with especial needs. Susanita was rescued by the Juvenile Court before Daysy was born and they only have seen each other twice. Tears came to Daysy's eyes when she saw Susanita at the administrative office. They hugged with so much love, Susanita with bright smile does not understand who Daysy is, but Daysy knows about her sister. Susanita is graduating from 6th grade and she doesn't have a B-Certificate, so the nuns from the place where Susanita's lives are looking for information about their real family members.

BEAUTY AND READING!

Beside her formal education at IHER College, Paola prepares for her future taking beauty classes at a beauty center where every day she shows her happiness and wishes to learn more and more. All the girls from OLRM offer themselves as volunteers for Paola to practice what she is learning. Ana Ruth was one of the chosen to get a free Chinese Straightening. Ana Ruth who is a great reader didn't waste her time while getting more beautiful, she read as she always does in her free time. Great for the girls from OLRM that can count on a professional beautician!

WALL FOR THE HOUSE AND THE PROPERTY AT THE RETREAT CENTER

A wall for the house of the Care Takers and of the property behind the Retreat Center was recently built to protect the property and to plant a vegetable garden in a portion of the area. OLRM is eagerly awaiting the Clergy Spouses of the Diocese of Southeast Florida to begin the project that will produce vegetables for the use of the girls of OLRM and hopefully for others in the community in the future.

NEW ROOF FOR THE OLRM HOME

The 21 years old roof from OLRM was almost eaten by the thermites and a new roof was built to protect the girls from a roof that was ready to cave-in. Thankfully a new cement roof was built and the girls that were sleeping at the school building are now back to their home and enjoying of a new roof.

BIG SMILE

A BIG SMILE was drawn in Claudia's lips after she was able to fold the linen used during the Eucharist at Holy Family Chapel where Reverend Gustavo Galeano celebrates every other Sunday. The girls enjoy the dynamic worship where they sing, pray and listen to the sermon that Rev. Gustavo prepares with vivid stories for them to remember and to understand.
With Love,

Sponsor A Child

There are many ways to support Our Little Roses, but one of the most valuable is to sponsor a girl. This gives the home an assurance of a steady source of support for a girl for several years -- hopefully until she becomes an adult. Sponsorships are $720 per year, which may seem like a lot, but paid quarterly ($180) or monthly ($60) is quite manageable.

If you sponsor a girl, you will receive a certificate and a photo, and you are welcome to correspond with the girl you sponsor.

Or you may wish to sponsor the educational tuition for one of our girls attending Holy Family Bilingual School, a special needs private school or university. Education is vital to transforming their lives.
