Article #11 in the Servant Leader Series at
League City United Methodist Church

Have you met Cliff Mantzel?

Cliff joined League City UMC in 2012.  He retired after 12 years as the Facilities Director for First United Methodist Church,  Rusk, TX.  He serves God at LCUMC as a Lay Reader and in Food Truck Ministry.  He was involved in a Habitat for Humanity build and has traveled on mission trips with UM ARMY.  He is an active member of our Men@Ten Bible Study and Fellowship and on Sundays he makes sure his parents have a ride to church.

Jeremiah 29: 11 ("For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.") is a favorite.

Cliff says he is always blessed by Pastor Joel's sermons and leaves church on Sunday feeling joyful.  He has enjoyed "Reading the Bible Through" each year for the past two years using the guide Joel gave him.   His Eye is on the Sparrow is a favorite hymn.
