The Taylors joined League City United Methodist Church in 2013. Craig is a chemical engineer for Mangan, presently working at Dow in Freeport. Rose is a licensed electrician and works through the IBEW Local 716. She has been a member of IBEW since 1998 and a member of Local 716 for 8 years.
Craig and Rose are members of the Voyagers Sunday School Class.
Rose does electrical repairs here at the church and serves God on the Board of Trustees and in the Food Truck Ministry. The IBEW has a women's group of electricians called Watt Women (Women Achieving Thru Teamwork) and she worked with them to build a house for Habitat for Humanity. Their group does charitable work and they have "manned" the banana pudding table for the past 10 years at an annual fundraising dinner for Muscular Dystrophy. One of her favorite projects was working on the renovation of an older home in the Heights for a couple who had recently been disabled and her group helped make it accessible.
The Wednesday Women's Bible Study group has been a blessing and helped Rose, as a new member get better acquainted with other members. She and her family visited LCUMC for a year or so and one of her best memories here is when they came to understand that this is where God was calling them to serve. Their daughter was baptized here.
Rose's favorite hymn is Amazing Grace because it reminders her that regardless of our mistakes in life we can ask God for
forgiveness and He forgives.
