Celebrating 120 Years

You may have already heard that this year is the 120^th Anniversary of League City United Methodist Church. We are planning a special Homecoming on September 20^th with activities throughout the year leading up to Homecoming. We are going to invite all of the former pastors and associate pastors and we hope you will invite all your friends who used to be members.

We have teams established with leadership to serve a meal, entertain us, honor our former pastors and our long time members, and many more activities. Wouldn't you like to be a part of the planning and execution of our 120^th Anniversary Homecoming? If so, please contact Gary R aines at or at 281-554-2234.

Do you have any old photographs of activity at LCUMC? We would love to borrow them to make copies. We will then use them to help illustrate our past. Do you have any other ideas to help us celebrate 120 years? Please contact Gary.

AV Team Members Needed

Did you enjoy the Easter Cantata? It was absolutely beautiful, but did you know about all of the behind the scenes work that went into the audio and video for this production? Say thank you to our new Audio/Video coordinator Sherman Argo. Sherman brings a lot of experience to this position and there were countless hours that went into the setup long before Sunday morning.

Sherman has a small team of dedicated individuals making this happen, but we need even more volunteers. We need people to operate the sound board, the computer generated displays and the video camera on Sunday mornings during our worship services. No technical experience is necessary and we will train you. The jobs are really very simple. Can you spare one Sunday a month to be in the balcony and help make our worship experience what we have all come to expect? If so, please contact Sherman Argo or call him at 832-425-3450.

We need Lakeview Camp Counselors!

The number of youth we may send to Lakeview is directly related to how many counselors we have! Counselors will attend at no cost and receive $100.00 off the cost of camp for their kids who attend!
