May God bless you and your family in the New Year.
League City United Methodist Church
January, 2015
From the Pastor. . .

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  2014 is done.

Hard to believe, isn't it?  And we had quite a year.  In the next few days, once year-end reports are done, I will be able to give you all sorts of numbers, but let's just say that the numbers will reflect that we have been an extraordinarily active church.  Baptisms, new members joining, and people professing their faith in Christ speak to the spiritual impact on lives that we can see.  Mission projects, food truck, youth trips, children's activities, Bible studies, and a picnic in the park name some of the programs of 2014.  Then you have the work on our current facilities, and new LED sign on the way, and activity centered on the Calder Road property remind us that more is on the way.  WHEW!

But here's something else to think about.  League City UMC has a whole new year in front of it, and it is a special one.  2015 marks the 120th anniversary of our family of faith!  For over a century, the people called Methodists have been at work in Jesus' name in League City.  With that in mind, the Lord has something special in store for us in 2015.

I am not sure what it is - He has a way of unfolding things in the most surprising ways - but it's going to be great!  So as we step out in faith together in 2015, let's dream big and watch God do even more than we can imagine!  Blessings to you in 2015!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
