The 3rd USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo DIY.org Finale is just 8 months away and we are gearing up to bring you the largest celebration of science & engineering! In support of this enormous endeavor, we are calling upon the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize the last week in April as National Science Week, in support of the Festival's mission to re-invigorate the interest of STEM in our nation's youth. As the world celebrates 50 distinguished years of women in space, we invite you to commemorate this milestone in two ways with the Festival. First, visit the Festival's Role Models in Science & Engineering website to learn more about the lives and contributions of key women space explorers such as Sally Ride, Mae Jemison and Ellen Ochoa

Want to Make an Impact? Sign Up Today as an X-STEM School and Register for the Student Workshop! 
Our very first X-STEM School Program is growing rapidly and is quite a success! Currently with more than 80 certified schools nationwide, the newly-launched X-STEM School Program, made up of dedicated students and educators, is working hard to spread the word about the Festival and STEM through student-led ambassador teams. Sign up today as an X-STEM School and join Anacostia Senior High, Washington, D.C., and Bay Brook Elementary & Middle School, Baltimore, Maryland (to name a few), in taking advantage of the many opportunities that participation in this important program brings!

Just in time for back to school, our X-STEM Student Leader Workshop applications are open now!  The date is set for Saturday, September 7th from 10am-3pm and  is open to middle and high school X-STEM School Coordinators and Delegates from certified and registered X-STEM Schools.  There are a limited number of spaces so students must sign up early.
