Jupiter 38 Tournament
Custom modern fishing machine
We live in a changing landscape as a boating community. As people go through life, and new people enter our exciting world on the water, needs change and new products arise to fit those needs. Dual purpose boating has become extremely popular for the center console market. Manufacturers have worked hard to combine the comforts of life with the fishability and classic lines of the offshore center console. With the new custom built Jupiter 38 Tournament, Caribee has worked together with the factory from inception to push the boundaries of a true "best of both worlds" concept and showcase the newest innovations in the world of saltwater boating.
The most serious and discriminating of anglers will find three livewells aft with a custom stainless pump box using redundant backup insuring optimum performance and bait keeping abilities. There are huge amounts of rod storage: console side, leaning post, under gunnel, and T-top mounted, and plenty of gunnel mount rod holders to put those rods to use, as well as outriggers, and two sets of electric reel plugs and swivel mount rod holders. The new extra large mezzanine leaning post accommodates one of the live wells, split helm seating with flip up bolsters and arm rests, as well as huge tackle tray and drawer storage, and an aft seat perfect to watch the baits. The side dive door will allow you to pull your catch directly into the boat with ease, and the two in-deck macerated fish boxes give you plenty of space to put them in. Fisherman and cruisers will appreciate the range possible with the extended 485 gallon fuel capacity and fuel efficient four stroke Yamaha power.

Reading about all of those fishing features may have you thinking about a sore back and unhappy guests from the lack of comfort typically found on a "man's" fishing boat. This boat has been designed to end those days of discomfort. We already mentioned the mezzanine leaning post seating, and there is also console front seating housing an LED lit drink cooler, and split forward box seating with dry storage and removable backrests. The deck then opens back to full width in the bow. This layout provides needed comfort while still allowing fisherman to fight 360 degrees around the boat with ease. The generous side entry console with a full electric head and sink, aforementioned side dive door with removable ladder, and thru stem windlass round off the list of convenient features on the 38 Tournament.
As a showcase of new technology, this boat is equipped with three of Yamaha's newest 4.2L 300HP Four Stroke Outboards controlled by their all new Helm Master digital control system. Helm master gives you more control and maneuverability than ever possible with outboard boats before. It combines and improves on Yamaha's proven digital throttle and shift control box, the color LCD Command Link Plus gauge, with an all new electronic helm, and most notably the new joystick maneuvering system. All three engines are mounted with separate SeaStar cylinders and computer steered either traditionally with the helm and throttle under way or independently and automatically with the joystick while at low speeds and docking. Yamaha's Helm Master now uses a keyless proximity ignition system with push button independent and simultaneous start and stop. The boat also has a complete Garmin package with twin 15" touch screens, open array HD radar, autopilot, full JL audio stereo package, and full color spectrum under gunnel and Lumishore underwater lights.

Redesigned Legendary 17 HPX-V
|
Remember the old adage "If it aint broke, don't fix it" ? Maverick's legendary 17 HPX-V definitely wasn't broke. But Maverick isn't a company that likes to sit on its hands when it knows improvements can be made, even to its most iconic product.
So Maverick has redesigned the 17 HPX-V to meet the changing needs of its customers, and to accommodate the new technology of today's backcountry fisherman. One of a few things that has stayed the same is the great dry riding, quiet, easy to pole hull. Weight has been redistributed for optimum performance and balance under way and on the pole with modern Yamaha Four Stroke power. The aft deck has been reconfigured to match the popular 18 HPX-V, with large storage compartments on either side, and a central live-release size well, and more generous bilge entry. There is no need to move cushions to get into any compartments.
The front deck has been lengthened, providing a larger casting area, and allowing the fuel tank to be moved aft of the forward compartment opening, giving huge storage in the bow of the boat. The boat has wide walk-able gunnels, and still has plenty of cockpit space for a console front cooler seat, and under gunnel fly rod storage. The boat can be configured with either of Yamaha's fuel efficient and reliable 70 HP or 90 HP Four Stroke Outboards.
If you would like to learn more about the boat, give us a call at 305-664-3431, and ask for Billy or John in sales. Or come in and see our in stock redesigned 2013 17 HPX-V in person today! |
