Did you get a chance to see any of our Holiday Shows? If you did, join me in congratulating all the beginning students who graced the stage in our Holiday Shows. If your child was in it, you must be very proud of your child just as we are. Performing to a house full of strangers is not an easy task, and our little ones did more than fine, exceeding our expectations.
The musical theater students under Ms. Katie's direction put everyone in a great holiday spirit. It was a festive performance evoking universal themes of love, togetherness, and celebration.
The holiday show has given you a sampling of how beautiful WSPA shows are. On a grander scale, you can look forward to our year-end culminating performance in June when your child will be showing off her learned skills along with the intermediate and advanced students.
Preparation for the recital and all other events leading up to it will be emailed to you, so be sure to open your email every month.
The culminating performance of Year 2013 is full of promising productions in a great musical "Into the Woods"' and the timeless favorite ballet - Swan Lake.
The next quarter will be full of challenges, testing the student's skills and artistry in several dance competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix; New York City Dance Alliance; Spotlight; World of Dance; Vibe; Showstoppers; and San Jose Tahiti Fete
In WSPA, we train to perform on the highest standard and this is only possible when students attend their classes regularly and work with a passion to excel.
But before we dive into the work, join us this weekend for a repeat performance of
Hakuna Matata sponsored by the Artists in Motion Bay Area. The amazing voices and the great story of courage and responsibility in the animal kingdom will be a feast for every young child.
I highly recommend all our beginning students to watch this musical. It is the perfect show and a great introduction to the world of music.
