His work has been shown in an exhibit in the California Museum in Sacramento.  He is an incredibly talented artist who will work with the winner to compose a piece of art that is both beautiful and meaningful.

Sea Journey Day Sail
        RAFFLE ITEM #4
Raffle yourself into a day sail for 2 on Buzzards Bay, MA, one of the premier sailing areas in the United States. Sea Journey is a 35' sloop moored in Marion, MA, on the Southcoast of MA.

 

You and your guest will sail on the Bay to a picturesque harbor (destination determined by winds and tides) where we will anchor and you will be treated to a nice lunch and the swim ladder will be lowered for swimming in the warm waters of Buzzards Bay. After a relaxing time at anchor, we'll leisurely sail back to Marion, one of the best-kept secrets on the Southcoast.

 

Sea Journey is owned and operated by Joe and Jeanne Daly, LBR adopters. They will be joined by their faithful first mate, Penny, an LBR beagle rescue. Sail date to be mutually agreed-upon. July, August or September best for warmest water temps.

 

Estimated value: $500 if privately chartered.

RAFFLE DAT!

 

Things are heating up here in New Orleans and I'm not talking about just the weather!  We are hot and heavy in the middle of a new raffle for 8 great items so generously donated by our supporters.
 
We started a fund raising campaign two weeks ago for Elvis, a beautiful basset boy who came into our care with grossly infected ears and, as it turned out, cancer. Elvis was too sick to survive his illness but he was surrounded by LBR love and attentive care in his last few days.  Although we raised enough money to cover Elvis' vet bills, this is a fabulous opportunity to also raise money for the other hounds in rescue, especially the sick hounds like Lonny as well as all of the hounds going through heartworm treatment. 
 
The raffle for all items ends May 22. Please spread the word about our fabulous raffle items so that we can get some money in our coffers while we have a great chance to do so.  Each raffle ticket is $10.  We will know how many raffle tickets you want by the amount of money you pay. The winning ticket will be drawn on Monday, May 22 at 5pm CDT.

Candy Marie made and generously donated a wonderful piece of basset art. Here is a description in Candy's own words: "This mixed media artwork is 18x24 on stretched canvas. The piece consists of several mediums to include decoupage using book pages and paper, ink, marker, stamping, paint and charcoal." The value of this beautiful piece is priceless.

This beautiful Agean Blue lamp was generously donated by Amy Hebert Domas, an LBR supporter and interior decorator in Lafayette, LA. The lamp is valued at $837. 
 
It measures 31" high.  It is made of wood and is hand painted and hand turned.  It is antiqued and distressed.  It would be a lovely addition to anyone's home.
