Donnor's book addresses resegregation in education
Assistant Professor Jamel K. Donnor's new book,The Resegregation of Schools: Education and Race in the Twenty-First Century addresses new issues of inequality and marginalization in public schools.
Professor Bruce A. Bracken has published his second novel, Invisible. Dr. Bracken said "the intended literary contribution of this novel is to bring into focus and give voice to a portion of society that seamlessly coexists unnoticed within all contextual backdrops."

Counseling Research Team awarded grant      

Two Ph.D. counselor education students and three Master's counseling students were awarded a student research grant from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
Gifts at Work - the Hornsby Lecture

Greeted by Mrs. Lois Hornsby, Dr. Shuan Harper spoke on March 12 regarding his research on black and Hispanic male achievement. He challenged the tendency of researchers and practitioners to approach the issues of male students of color with a deficit model and highlighted simple measures that improved retention and completion rates at the sites which he studied.
