Originally from Boligee, Alabama, Eddie Cole Ph.D.
has joined the School of Education faculty as Assistant Professor in the Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership Higher Education program. He will be teaching graduate coursework in Special Mission Colleges and Universities and the History of Higher Education. 

Professor Cross writes book on suicide among high-ability learners  

Suicide Among Gifted Children and Adolescents: Understanding the Suicidal Mind by Tracy L. Cross explores what suicidal behavior is, clarifies what is known and unknown about it, and shares two major theories of suicide with explanatory power.  

Professor Pamela Eddy and her students in EPPL 601, Educational Policy: Development and Analysis class, traveled to Washington, DC on October 11 to meet with policymakers. All meetings were held at the Council for the Chief State System Officers (CCSSO) office in Washington, DC.
Building a Better Mouse Trap: Using Technology to Increase Retention    
Higher Education alumna Aimee Stright, M.Ed. '13 and doctoral student Melinda Anderson recently presented at the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Virginia State drive-in conference discussing course planning, academic policies, and practice registration through a mandatory summer course.
