CVB at WV Governor's Tourism Conference

Our staff recently participated in the West Virginia Governor's Conference on Tourism.  During the conference, the MBCCVB was presented with two awards:

  • Our 2012-2013 marketing plan and MAPP grant application were approved by the WV Tourism Commission.  This means that we are eligible for almost $90,000 in matching state funds for our marketing efforts.
  • We were awarded re-accreditation through the West Virginia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

"Approval from the state level for our marketing plan and state accreditation of our CVB validate that our efforts to attract tourists align with the state's overall mission for tourism," said Andrea Ball, executive director of the MBCCVB.
