January, 2015
From Your Chamber President

Sharon McKelvey
Investment Center
of Grafton

As we wrap up the year of 2014, it's a great time to reflect on all of the positive events that have happened in the Grafton community. Please plan to join us at our annual State of the Community Luncheon on January 28th. We will not only reflect on 2014 but gain insight into what 2015 looks like for the Village and Town of Grafton, and the Grafton School District. Working together we can partner to achieve great things for the upcoming year.

On behalf of the Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce, we hope your Holiday celebrations are filled with family and friends, love and laughter, and memories that last throughout the year.

First Bank
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration First Bank Financial Centre was recognized as the #1 SBA lender in the state of Wisconsin for 2014. In business since 1859, FBFC is a community bank and preferred SBA lender. FBFC prides itself on servicing loans locally, in addition to offering low closing costs, competitive rates, and distinctive personal service. The bank has 12 full-service branch locations including Grafton.

First Bank Financial Centre's "Holi-Days of Giving" program delivered much-needed good cheer to a Grafton family, Milwaukee woman and two nonprofits. The Miller family from Grafton received a $500 Merry Maids gift card and Lori Nashban from Milwaukee received a night on the town. Two nonprofits, Family Promise of Ozaukee County and Lyds for Kids, an organization dedicated to making cute and colorful hats for kids with cancer, were each given a $500 check.

First Bank Financial Centre recently stepped in to support the Grafton Public Arts Board by donating $2,100, what was left and required to accomplish their goal for their project of the Historic Grafton Dam. This final donation took the Grafton Public Arts Board "over the top" on finalizing the fundraising efforts for the Art in Motion dam lighting project. The dam illumination project was spearheaded by the Public Arts Board and FBFC's finishing donation will now allow them to light the waterfall correctly and add an exciting element to the Grafton village. A check for $2,100 was presented to the organization on December 15th at the Grafton Village Board meeting.
