 Message from your Chamber President

Sharon McKelvey
The Investment Center of Grafton
Dear Chamber Members,

As the lazy days of summer are quickly slipping away, there is nothing but a flurry of activities, before the routine of school days comes back. Why not enjoy a night out with the girls at our Ladies Night Out-Steppin' Out in Grafton on August 5th.  You can continue your shopping every Thursday and support our local farmers at the Grafton Farmers' Market happening in the GHS parking lot.  All done with the shopping?  Sit back and relax at the Thursday night GALA in the Park events, as those will be coming to a close on August 21st.  How about an end of the summer party?  Join us at our Grand Night Out in Grafton at Flannery's at Fire Ridge happening on August 23rd.  (Let's celebrate because the kids are going back to school!).  As the party fades, it's time to get back to work, by attending the ONCE Ozaukee Networking Chamber Exchange event happening on August 27th.  With all there is to do in our vibrant community, there is no need to have the summer doldrums!

Please let's not forget some other local events to attend.  Why not support some outstanding local causes such as the Grafton Lions Annual Golf Outing on August 11th.  Let's help our Blackhawk student-athletes at the Booster Club Annual Corn Roast 5K Run/Walk happening August 24th.  Even if you don't want to run or walk just come down and enjoy a great brat or burger and ear of corn with your family.  Finally we can't forget Rover.  He is anxiously awaiting Doggie Paddle Day on August 26th at the Grafton Outdoor Pool.

As twilight of summer is upon us, I hope we are all reminded of the blessings we have with our Grafton community.  Our businesses, local charities and school district all working together to give us a community that has so much to offer.  So please remember to support our local businesses as they support all of the wonderful things that Grafton has to offer it's residents.

Sharon
