Recently, the Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) sent a survey to you asking for your feedback on how the MCMS can add value to your membership. Several of our respondents suggested offering health insurance benefits.

In direct response to this feedback, the MCMS is exploring the possibility of offering access to health plans that would offer you an additional choice to traditional carriers, purchasing plans through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace, or enrolling in one of the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) under the ACA.

We are evaluating several models - fully insured and partially self-funded - which would be administered by an independent company to eliminate any conflict of interest in terms of whose needs are being served.

To aid us in determining if this is a viable membership benefit, we ask you to take this five minute survey. Answers to the survey will be accepted through Tuesday, August 19, 2014.
