Recently, the Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) was asked about firearm safety by not only our member physicians, but also by concerned citizens that look to the Society for various resources. Clearly, this is a politically sensitive topic and many are unsure as to the role physicians should or should not play in the discussion.

The MCMS is committed to serving our members by speaking as a strong, collective physician voice. Critical to this role is knowing how you, as a member of the Society, feel about high-profile topics.
