PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
OODA Loop
By Daniel Lieberman
Observe. Orient. Decide. Act. United States Air Force Colonel John Boyd used these four words to describe his decision-making process during a dog fight. This strategy earned him the nickname "40 second Boyd" for his uncanny ability to shoot down an enemy plane quickly. Once an action has occurred, the process starts over. The acronym OODA loop is well-known in business as a strategy to win by developing organizations that are more agile than the competition.
