WRAR Wins National Award for Advocacy Campaign Against the Recent Proposed Insurance Rate Increases
On Thursday at the REALTORS® Conference and Expo in Orlando, your Association won the 2012 GABBY Award for Best Local Advocacy Campaign. The award is presented by the National Assoc. of REALTORS® and is for the Call for Action against the Proposed Insurance Rate Increases in N.C. The campaign generated 658 responses - highest for a local Call for Action nationwide - and helped influence Commissioner Goodwin to deny the rate increases. THANK YOU MEMBERS - keep up the great work! Special thanks to Kathleen Riely, your Governmental Affairs Director, for leading the charge on this important issue.
