Happenings for Adults      


Are you going to the Holiday Light Festival  December 1? Drop by the Friends' Cookie Walk in the Library Activity Room, between 2 and 4PM. It's a stop on the hay ride!  Moms & Tots of North Reading will also be there with kids' holiday crafts.

Be sure to take a look at the Friends Main Street Raffle on display next to the Circulation Desk. The drawing will be Sunday, December 1, at the Cookie Walk. You need not be present to win.

Holiday Bow-Making Workshop, Tuesday, December 10 at 7PM, led by Colleen Perry, of Brissonte. Space is limited. Please call 978-664-4942 to register.

Congratulations to all our participants!  A dedicated group of writers has met regularly at the library this month to work on their novels.  North Reading Writes will continue to meet in the new year. Stay tuned.

Children and Teens



Saturday Specials -  Starting on December 7th we will be hosting a family-friendly event on the first Saturday of each month through the Winter and Spring. 
Our first special will be Gingerbread House Decorating from 10:15 - 11:15 on Saturday, December 7th.  Drop in to make a mini house out of graham crackers, icing and candy to bring home or eat.

Holiday Drop-In Story Time Series at 10:00 AM: 
This holiday season we will be having a series of three drop-in story times. These will be programs geared towards families with children under five. No need to sign up, just come on by.

Dec. 5th, Dec. 12th, & Dec. 19th.  



Lego Club - Tuesday, December 3rd @ 4:00PM. Registration required.  For grades 2-5.

Lego  Club Jr. - Thursday, December 5th @ 2:00PM. Registration required.  For grades K-1.

Clay*Works - Thursday, December 12th from 3:30 - 4:30.  We are happy to host Ann McCrae from Clay*Works.  She will be reading from the book The Longest Night and then leading the kids in making a bird sculpture of their own.  For grades 2 - 5.  Limited to 25.  Registration Required. 
 
Imajine That - Let It Snow! --Tuesday, December 17th @ 10:30AM.  For ages 3 - 6.  Limited to 12 participants. Registration Required. 

Y.A.B. Crafts - Decorate Treasure Boxes.  Tuesday, December 17th,  4:00PM.  For middle schoolers.  Registration required.

Third Wednesday Drop In Craft - December 18th, 3-4:45PM

Family Holiday Movie - Friday, December 27th @ 1:30PM
