Safe Youth Projects
at Culmore, Springfield, & Annandale
Soccer has kicked off and practice has resumed.
Children attended horseback riding classes at Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program.
Staff is teaching children about achieving and maintaining good health through a fun curriculum called Catch Kids.
Teen
Center
at Culmore
Our teens are learning about healthy relationships and how to identify red flags when dating through a curriculum called Safe Dating.
3 teens received donations of refurbished bikes from Phoenix Bikes to get to school and work.
Family Resource Centers
at Springfield &
Culmore
Our computer learning classes and sewing classes for adults have begun.
Emergency Shelter for Teenagers
in Vienna
Teens volunteered to deliver donations to families and young people at Alternative House's other programs.
Assisting

Mothers
Staff helped residents celebrate two birthdays and a baby shower.
Homeless
Youth
Initiative
Staff helped secure long-term housing for two residents once they graduate from our program in the spring.
